April 17th    Music Contest in Redfield

     May 3rd      Elementary Spring Concert

May 22nd    Graduation (6th- 8th grade band students)

Dress Code

Students are expected to wear the nicest clothes they have to the concert.  You are representing yourself, parents, teacher, and your school.  If you look nice, you will feel good about yourself and will perform better.  NO blue jeans, t-shirts or tennis shoes please.

  PRACTICING

-It is crucial to the success of every student and the overall band, that each student has a consistent practice time daily.  I recommend students practice a minimum of 15 minutes every day.  Individual practice is an essential part of musical growth and development.  Students who don't practice end up falling far behind and hating band.  This can be avoided by setting up a consistent weekly practice schedule and making sure your student is putting in the time.  Have them play for you occasionally.  This is positive reinforcement and a great step in the learning process.  Students who practice every day will love what they are able to accomplish in band and as a musician.
